Doing little writing paragraphs so it wasn't just photos

What did I find enjoyable about this process?
Finding photos of all blacks and making the whole movie

Here is some information about my book and why I liked it:
Bootsie is a great rugby player and he is trying to lift his team up so they will want to go overseas then Bootsie gets a massive offer/scholarship then he gets to make a massive life depending on choice i like this book because it is a sport

elephant toothpaste

in elephants toothpaste first we had to put safety goggles on and some gloves on.After that we had to put in warm water with yeast then mix the yeast with the warm water.THEN WE ADDED THE YEAST AND WARM WATER MIXED INTO A TUBE WITH HYDROGEN PEROXIDE.AFTER WE POURED WE HAD TO QUICKLY RUN BACK AND WATCH THE ELEPHANTS TOOTHPASTE RISE AND GO BOOM BOOM.THEN WE GOT TO TOUCH THE TOOTHPASTE WITH OUR HANDS WITH THE GLOVES ON.

MY HYPOTHESIS WAS I THOUGHT THAT THE TOOTHPASTE WOULD FORM INTO A MASIVE BALL THAT LOKKED LIKE AND ELEPHANT.

I THINK THIS HAPPENED BECAUSE THE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE WOULD REACT TO THE YEAST AND WATER AND MAKE A MASIVE FIZZY THING.

snake blake sugar and baking soda science experiment

E-PORTFOLIO SCIENCE - FIZZ AND FOAM

ACHIEVEMENT OBJECTIVES:
Understanding about science (Nature of Science)
Students will appreciate that scientists ask questions about our world that lead to investigations and that open-mindedness is important because there may be more than one explanation.

Properties and changes of matter (Material World)
L1/2: Observe, describe, and compare physical and chemical properties of common materials and changes that occur when materials are mixed, heated, or cooled.
L3/4: Group materials in different ways, based on the observations and measurements of the characteristic chemical and physical properties of a range of different materials.
L3/4: Compare chemical and physical changes.

BLACK SNAKE SCIENCE EXPERIMENT

MY HYPOTHESIS:
I think that when we mix all of the ingredients together it will go kaboom
MATERIALS:
  • plate
  • sand

  • methylated spirits
  • sugar

    • baking soda

  • baking soda container

    • sugar bag

  • matches

    • matches packet
    • bottle with methylated sprits
    • table
    • tray
    • water
    • cup of water
    • tray

    METHOD:

    1. Tip some sand onto a plate
    2. Squirt heaps and heaps of methylated spirits around the edge of the sand
    3. Combine sugar and baking soda together in bowl
    4. Pour the sugar and baking soda on the sand
    5. Pour heaps of the methylated spirits round the edges of the baking soda and sugar
    6. Light the matches and then light the sugar and baking soda

    • OBSERVATIONS: first we lit the matches onto the baking soda and sugar then you would start to see little black dots start to rise then the black bubbles would start to combine and grow bigger and bigger now you would start to see the sugar and baking soda disappear and all the black stuff starting to grow more after a while you will start to see a snake black

CONCLUSIONS: the methylated spirits and matches made the sugar and baking soda react and then make the snake black expand
